 Using Web Browser

With a Web browser, how do I use FTP?

To use a Web browser to get files from an FTP site, enter the FTP address just as you would a hypertext (HTTP) address.

For example, to use your Web browser to connect to the site ftp.empire.gov , you would enter: ftp://ftp.empire.gov/

Web browsers are often slower and have fewer features than specialized FTP applications such as Fetch for Mac OS, Hummingbird FTP for Windows, or various command-line FTP programs.
