Today, a manufacturing center is required to supply
their customers with JIT (Just in Time) material delivery.
Manufacturing Centers are also looking for ways to
lower the inventory, improve the product flow and
reduce in the amount of effort to design, build and
ship. This is known as Lean Manufacturing. When material
arrives at a manufacturing center and the proper tools
are not in place to efficiently move this material
to the proper work cell or raw material storage areas,
shortages can occur. This affects the facilities ability
to meet current demands of their customers and impacts
the customers supply chain.
If we look at the issues that are being faced by many of the
manufacturing operations today within the supply chain, they are
basic. Long lead-time, handling containers from off shore
shipping, and overstocking of off shore produced inventory are
common problems. These problems are part of doing business in a
world economy, and create the issues that need to be addressed
in many manufacturing centers today.
When working with a client, we establish an understanding of the
overall scope of work. After a review of the operations is
completed, we deliver a priority list of problems or issues to
be corrected.
